Our history has been built upon tradition and know-how handed down from generation to generation.

The legacy of ancestral know-how

Clay has been used to protect homes for thousands of years, in tile factories located in the heart of our regions.
Edilians Group is the result of successful mergers with, and the integration of, several key players active in the manufacture of clay tiles, the industrial manufacture of accessories and components, and the solar roofing business.

Since the 1970s, first as the Imetal Group, then as Imerys Toiture in 2001 and as Edilians Group since 2018, we have maintained a tradition of excellence and continued to build on our know-how.
We uphold this legacy through the local presence of our four brands in France, Spain and Portugal.

Creation of the first Huguenot tile factory

1970

Creation of the Imetal group encompassing several tile factories

1974

Integration of the Hugenot Fénal tile factory

1986

Industrielle Régionale du Bâtiment (IRB) joins the group

1989

Acquisition of the Gelis regional appellation

2001

IMETAL becomes IMERYS Toiture

2002

IMERYS Toiture enters the solar market and launches the first photovoltaic tile

2015

Metal components for the durability of roofing and the collection of rainwater

2016

Integration of an airtight product line for energy-efficient buildings

2017

Our solar range grows with the launch of the first solar tiles: ALPHA SOLAIRE

2018

IMERYS Toiture becomes EDILIANS

2019

Extended European coverage with the acquisition of Umbelino Monteiro in Portugal.

Launch of the first red clay solar tiles (appearance of classified buildings)

Acquisition of Tejas Borja in Spain:
