Innovation and digitisation at Edilians Group

Twenty years ago, we produced the first solar roof tile.
Since then, we’ve never stopped innovating to stay at the forefront of our industry.
Using innovation to benefit our customers, offering roofing solutions that combine aesthetic appeal, efficiency and ease of installation, and reducing our environmental footprint – these are our guiding principles!

“Made in Edilians Group” innovation

At Edilians Group, our research and development teams are constantly working to create innovative solutions and replicate them in our 17 factories across Europe.
In particular, we invest in improving our manufacturing processes.
La Escandella, one of the Group’s Spanish brands, now has one of the largest tile production lines in the world.

Decarbonisation is also a driver of innovation for the Group.
That’s why we’re constantly innovating to make Edilians Group a leader in eco-friendly construction. In 2022, we reduced our direct carbon emissions per tonne of tiles produced by 5.5%. But our efforts didn’t stop there! Our ambition for tomorrow is to innovate on an industrial scale to reduce our emissions by 30% by 2030. And that’s a challenge we intend to meet.

Quality or aesthetic appeal ? Both.

We also understand the role that aesthetics plays in architecture.
That’s why we invest in the design of new tile shapes and colours.
By doing so, we give our customers the opportunity to personalise their homes as they wish.
Our Spanish brand, Tejas Borja, offers an innovative, patented solution for printing personalised designs on its tiles, all while preserving their original characteristics!

Innovating for sustainable roofs

For over 20 years, we’ve been looking at roofs as a source of energy and savings, devoting significant resources to research and development to put high-performance innovation at the heart of our strategy.

We seek to have a positive impact on environmental objectives in terms of both mitigating and adapting to climate change.

Our marketing and R&D teams, in conjunction with experts (WIGWAM, CEA), carry out research to constantly improve the energy efficiency of roofs, particularly in terms of insulation, ventilation, summer comfort, and acoustics.

Continuously improving the customer experience

At Edilians Group, we’re committed to providing our customers with digital services and tools that will make their day-to-day lives easier.

Our solar simulator, for example, enables artisans to make quick, informed decisions on their work sites. This tool quickly and accurately calculates the number of photovoltaic panels needed to meet their energy needs.

Our customers can also use our 3D simulation tools to visualise their projects and study our various solutions. This allows our partner artisans to work faster and more efficiently.

We’re committed to supporting our customers on a daily basis, so that each of their new-build or renovation projects is a success. We provide them with assistance and training in our Edilians Academy centres, and our support and sales teams are always on hand to answer any questions they may have and provide them with dedicated services.

Proximity, simplicity and efficiency give true meaning to our work and that of our partners!

External growth: driving R&D efforts

After a 5% reduction in scope 1 emissions in 2022, we’re seeking to step up our research and development efforts. We’re proud that the recent acquisition of Ceritherm is speeding up the deployment of innovative decarbonisation solutions within the Group.

Based in the Haute-Vienne region of France, Ceritherm has over 25 years of experience in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of industrial heating equipment.
