People
The nature of our industrial activities exposes our employees and partners to the risk of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
To guarantee the health, safety and well-being of everyone on a daily basis, we are rolling out a bold roadmap with a clear objective: to prevent accidents and illnesses, starting with the most serious cases likely to cause irreversible effects.
6 priority commitments
For several years now, Edilians Group has pursued a strategic Health & Safety Plan based on shared guidelines (Quality, Health and Environmental Policy and Charter) and on a set of measures, investments and training courses based on six major commitments:
- Working on machines
- Working at height
- Road risks and vehicle-pedestrian interactions
- Noise
- Chemical risks and dust
- Ergonomics
Strengthening our health & safety culture
Our Health & Safety Plan stems from our conviction that health & safety is a matter of concern at all times and at all levels. The plan covers three main themes:
- Leadership embodied by management’s visible and tangible commitment to good health & safety practices: grassroots discussions on health & safety, the annual Health & Safety Day, safety meetings, success celebrations, disciplinary measures, monthly steering committee meetings, etc.;
- Risk management fuelled by field assessments to regularly update the preventive measures enshrined in our 17 internal protocols and to determine how well they are understood;
- Organisation and systems, via the introduction of dedicated solutions for operational staff: training plan and courses, dedicated internal application (EDISAFE), etc.
Bringing our subsidiaries on board
With the new Group scope encompassing both our French operations and those of our Portuguese (Umbelino Monteiro) and Spanish (Tejas Borja and La Escandella) subsidiaries, we have strengthened our plan to integrate all our sites, aiming for a more committed cultural transformation at all levels of responsibility within the Group.
”"As every subsidiary has its own health & safety culture, with its own specific know-how and rules, we endeavour to ensure that each one benefits from our best practices

and that our health & safety policy is implemented in a concerted and participatory manner. Managing the health & safety of all our employees and stakeholders is an essential prerequisite for the success of all our projects."
”“The well-being of our employees is a matter of integrity and consistency with our commitments. With the integration of new subsidiaries into our Group, we have an obligation to be more precise and effective in our management of health and safety issues and our forward-looking approach. We need to continuously challenge what we are doing, so we can work together to cultivate good practices.”
